5 cm: A Film About Friendship and Adventure
5 cm is a 2012 Indonesian drama film directed by Rizal Mantovani and based on a novel of the same name by Donny Dhirgantoro. Plot

Arial is the most macho of the group, who loves sports, follows rules, but is awkward with women. Ian is the most chubby of the group, who loves instant noodles and soccer, and is the last to graduate.

One day, they feel bored with their friendship and decide to separate for three months without any communication. During this time, they experience various changes in their lives that make them grow as individuals. After three months, they reunite and celebrate their reunion with a trip to Mount Semeru, the highest peak in Java. They plan to reach the summit on August 17th, Indonesia's Independence Day, and raise the national flag there. Along the way, they face many challenges and obstacles that test their friendship and patriotism. They also encounter other characters who join them in their journey, such as Arinda (Fanny Fabriana), a female climber who has a crush on Genta; Trapani (Dion Wiyoko), a handsome photographer who flirts with Riani; and Nadia (Ira Wibowo), a mysterious woman who helps Zafran with his writer's block.
